Neotech Edge is a complete remake of the classic, Swedish cyberpunk game from the 90s, centered around the concept "what would cyberpunk look like if conceived today?"
The year is 2070. The world teeters on the brink. An overheated climate is redrawing the map and causing huge streams of refugees. A genetically engineered social elite enrich themselves through automation, while the masses are forced to rely on corporate sponsored basic income, and fill their empty lives with virtual happiness streamed from the Layers.
The System, a symbiosis of AI-controlled corporations and states, surveils and shepherds the masses towards the temple of consumption. In this world where everything is connected, hacking has become the new magic. From the shadows, via the darkest of darknets, the movement anon has begun turning the System against itself.
Whether your posse consists of anon, solos, omegas, amoks or mils, you will be thrown into the coming transformation of Monde — no matter if what awaits is total collapse, or a new paradise following the singularity…
